Matt Warta, CEO

Matt has been a mainstay in the entrepreneurial community over the past 15 years co-founding 2 companies and funding dozens of others as a venture capitalist.

INSIGHT: When not working on GutCheck, Matt also enjoys biking, running, and swimming — sometimes all three of those together.

Scott Dunbar, VP Engineering

Scott is an experienced Enterprise Architect and has been in Software Engineering for more than 20 years. He has worked on diverse platforms from embedded to enterprise but will always fondly remember hacking on his Commodore 64.

INSIGHT: Scott loves hiking, biking, snow boarding, and enjoying the incredible Colorado outdoors with his family.

Ann Koerner, VP of Product Management
Ann is a huge fan of consumer feedback.  As a product manager, she loves being surrounded by consumer insights and building the next generation of GutCheck's technology platform for consumers and researchers.  Ann previously worked at Qualvu, MapQuest and AOL.
 
INSIGHT: She enjoys the mountains, skiing, golfing, camping and good people.
 
Martin Payne, COO

Martin brings 18 years of experience in sales, marketing, and product management from both B2C and B2B technology companies including Dell, Sun, and GHX.

INSIGHT: He’s a complete sports junkie.

Dylan Frusciano, VP of Sales
Dylan brings 20 years of sales and sales management experience, most recently from Business Wire, a Berkshire Hathaway company.
 
Insight:  Dylan enjoys raising two daughters and watching all their soccer games, CrossFit, skiing, music, travel, attending even more of his girls' soccer games, and cooking, especially things to undo all the CrossFit 
Carl Rossow

Co-Founder of iModerate and has more than 15 years worth of industry experience as a researcher and technologist. In addition, Carl is a Co-Founder of Benenson Strategy Group, a leading strategic research and consulting firm. Prior to iModerate, Carl founded Innovative Survey Research, and was a Vice President at Penn, Schoen and Berland where he pioneered the use of computer assisted personal interviewing in the malls. Over his tenure in the industry, his expertise in research methods and desire for creating and implementing research technologies has helped Fortune 500 companies, prominent organizations and heads of state.

Martha Crawley

Martha Crawley is Vice President of Crawley Ventures, Inc. Crawley joined Crawley and opened its Denver office in 1995. She earned an MBA from Yale and an Economics degree from Williams College.  Crawley is on the Board of Directors of Crawley Petroleum Corporation, CenterStone Technologies, First Western Financial, Collective Intellect, and Opera Colorado.

Joe Zell

Joseph R. Zell joined Grotech as a General Partner in 2002. At Grotech Ventures, Joe focuses on investment opportunities in communications and IT infrastructure, cloud services, mobile, networking, and internet and digital media sectors. Joe currently serves or has served on several portfolio company boards including Aztek Networks (acquired by GenBand) BroadSoft (BSFT), buySAFE, Collective Intellect, Fieldglass, Hatteras Networks (acquired by Overture Networks), HiveLive (acquired by Rightnow Technologies/Oracle), Lagrange Systems, LogRhythm, SkyeTek, SpotRight, Rebit, USinternetworking and Ziptronix.

Jeff Hinck

Jeff has been a venture capitalist since 1997 and is a General Partner of Icon Venture Partners. Jeff began his venture career at Crescendo Ventures and then co-founded Vesbridge Partners with Icon Venture Partner Zenas Hutcheson in 2004.  He has also been a General Partner with El Dorado Ventures since 2008.  Jeff’s past investments include Algety (acquired by Corvis for $2 billion), Broadsoft (Nasdaq: BSFT), Compellent (acquired by Dell for $960 million), Enstratius (acquired by Dell), IPCell (acquired by Cisco for $150 million), iTKO (acquired by CA for $330 million), NetCentrex (acquired by Comverse for $165 million), NuSpeed (acquired by Cisco for $465 million) and Sistina (acquired by Redhat for $40 million).  Jeff’s current investments include LockPath, Rapid Engines and SportNGIN.  Jeff also ran Sistina Software as its CEO and has twice been the President of the MVCA.  Jeff began his professional career at McKinsey & Company and received his JD from Harvard Law School and his BA from Northwestern University.

Phil Reed

A General Partner of Highway 12 Ventures. He has led a distinguished career in the technology industry since co-founding both IMSAI/ComputerLand (NASDAQ: CLND) in 1975 and BusinessLand (NYSE: BLI) in 1982. IMSAI was one of the earliest manufacturers of Intel 8000-series microcomputers, then became ComputerLand, the first and largest dedicated distribution channel for personal computers. In 1992, he became President & CEO of SkyStar Aircraft Corporation, manufacturer of the popular Kitfox aircraft which is sold in 27 countries. In all, Phil has founded or co-founded more than a dozen companies in his career. Phil has served as Chairman of multiple of the firm’s portfolio companies including @Last Software which was acquired by Google. In 2004, Phil succeeded in co-founding Boise’s first organized Angel group, The Boise Angel Alliance.  He is a graduate of Harvard University.

Matt Warta

Co-founder and CEO of GutCheck.  Matt has been in the start-up world for the last 15 years having co-founded two companies, and having funded dozens of others as a venture capitalist. Prior to GutCheck, Matt was a General Partner with Village Ventures.  During his tenure at Village Ventures, the firm grew from $100mm to $750mm of assets under management.  Matt also led the healthcare practice for Village Ventures.  He co founded and was head of business development for CyberCrop, which pioneered online cash trading of agricultural commodities.  He was an intial member of Koch Ventures, where he led investments in VerticalNet (NSDQ – VERT), Universal Access (NSDQ – UAXS), and Energy Interactive (Acquired – ABB).  In addition, he was a Senior Consultant with Deloitte Consulting Group where he focused on the financial services sector.

David Toth

Former President, CEO and founder of NetRatings, Inc. He led NetRatings to its position as the leading provider of Internet audience information and analysis. As President and CEO, David formed strategic partnerships with Nielsen Media Research and ACNielsen. Together, the three companies developed Nielsen/NetRatings, the leading global Internet Audience Measurement service with deployments in 29 countries throughout the world. Prior to forming NetRatings, David was a Vice President at Hitachi Computer Products where he led the Network Products Group and was responsible for the development, sales and marketing of numerous hardware and software products. Former affiliations include Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Interlink Computer Sciences and PPG Industries. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors at TubeMogul, SkyTree Corporation, and Edgewater Networks. He was formerly a Director at NexTag (acquired by Providence Equity Partners.) David holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
