Carl Rossow

 

Co-Founder of iModerate and has more than 15 years worth of industry experience as a researcher and technologist. In addition, Carl is a Co-Founder of Benenson Strategy Group, a leading strategic research and consulting firm. Prior to iModerate, Carl founded Innovative Survey Research, and was a Vice President at Penn, Schoen and Berland where he pioneered the use of computer assisted personal interviewing in the malls. Over his tenure in the industry, his expertise in research methods and desire for creating and implementing research technologies has helped Fortune 500 companies, prominent organizations and heads of state.

David Toth

 

Former President, CEO and founder of NetRatings, Inc. He led NetRatings to its position as the leading provider of Internet audience information and analysis. As President and CEO, David formed strategic partnerships with Nielsen Media Research and ACNielsen. Together, the three companies developed Nielsen/NetRatings, the leading global Internet Audience Measurement service with deployments in 29 countries throughout the world. Prior to forming NetRatings, David was a Vice President at Hitachi Computer Products where he led the Network Products Group and was responsible for the development, sales and marketing of numerous hardware and software products. Former affiliations include Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Interlink Computer Sciences and PPG Industries. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors at TubeMogul, SkyTree Corporation, and Edgewater Networks. He was formerly a Director at NexTag (acquired by Providence Equity Partners.) David holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.

Phil Reed

 

A General Partner of Highway 12 Ventures. He has led a distinguished career in the technology industry since co-founding both IMSAI/ComputerLand (NASDAQ: CLND) in 1975 and BusinessLand (NYSE: BLI) in 1982. IMSAI was one of the earliest manufacturers of Intel 8000-series microcomputers, then became ComputerLand, the first and largest dedicated distribution channel for personal computers. In 1992, he became President & CEO of SkyStar Aircraft Corporation, manufacturer of the popular Kitfox aircraft which is sold in 27 countries. In all, Phil has founded or co-founded more than a dozen companies in his career. Phil has served as Chairman of multiple of the firm’s portfolio companies including @Last Software which was acquired by Google. In 2004, Phil succeeded in co-founding Boise’s first organized Angel group, The Boise Angel Alliance.  He is a graduate of Harvard University.

Matt Warta
 
Co-founder and CEO of GutCheck.  Matt has been in the start-up world for the last 15 years having co-founded two companies, and having funded dozens of others as a venture capitalist. Prior to GutCheck, Matt was a General Partner with Village Ventures.  During his tenure at Village Ventures, the firm grew from $100mm to $750mm of assets under management.  Matt also led the healthcare practice for Village Ventures.  He co founded and was head of business development for CyberCrop, which pioneered online cash trading of agricultural commodities.  He was an intial member of Koch Ventures, where he led investments in VerticalNet (NSDQ – VERT), Universal Access (NSDQ – UAXS), and Energy Interactive (Acquired – ABB).  In addition, he was a Senior Consultant with Deloitte Consulting Group where he focused on the financial services sector.
